  • Utah English, a merger of Northern and Midland American dialects carried west by LDS Church members.
  • Not all ski areas permit snowboarding.
  • One of the lowest crime rates in the country.
  • The Moab area (southeastern), is best known for challenging mountain biking trails.
  • Many Ski Resorts have medical clinics available for injuries. Prices are usually higher than your local provider.
  • Stay hydrated, be mindful of your higher elevations to avoid Altitude Sickness.
  • Beware of Africanized honeybees (killer bees), bears, mountain lions, rattlesnakes and scorpions.
  • Purchase a National Parks Pass to visit monuments and several parks.
  • Regardless, of the season where sunblock as you're susceptible to sunburn in high altitudes. 
  • A four wheel drive vehicle or high-clearance truck rental is recommended.
  • Car Ferry operates across Lake Powell between the Bullfrog and Halls Crossing Marina.
  • Claims to be "the Greatest Snow on Earth" considering their dry and powdery snow.
  • Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), consistently ranks first for fewest cancellations and on-time departures than any other airport in our country.
  • Alcohol, gambling and tobacco laws are strict! Sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited Sundays. Gambling in any form is illegal. Utah Indoor Clean Air Act, prohibits smoking in most public places statewide.
  • Intoxication occurs faster in high altitude.
