  • First cruise line featuring patented (Yellow Pantone 99) yellow lifeboats opposed to the standard orange lifeboats.
  • Spotify offers a Disney playlist.
  • Shows feature films on the same day as released in their theaters.
  • Disney Characters will appear throughout the entire cruise. Meet & Greets are published daily. Seize the opportunity during those "passing moments".
  • The last evening of the sailing, all characters are present to say "farewell" for approximately 20 minutes around 10PM. 
  • Only cruise line to offer fireworks and weather permitting.  Not offered on Alaskan cruises.
  • Compared to other cruise lines has the most Captains (4) onboard during sailings.
  • Sailing away from port, ships play "When you Wish Upon a Star".
  • Disembarkation lines are best avoided by carrying off your own luggage. Contingent of arrival, port clearance and/or weather usually commences around 7:30AM.
  • Ships colors are inspired by Mickey Mouse; white structure and the black hull represent his body, big red stacks are his two buttons, and the yellow lifeboats are his shoes.
  • For best rates, book early upon sailing availability.
  • Guest Services usually has complimentary motion sickness pills.
  • Pools are less crowded early morning and late afternoon before dinner.
  • Every ship has its own character in the main lobby. 
  • Repositioning sailings, where embarkation and disembarkation tend to cost less than roundtrip sailings.
  • Cruise fare tends to be higher than it's competitors.
  • If 21/+ you may take onboard 2 bottles of unopened Champagne or wine not exceeding 750 ML or a 6 pack of beer not exceeding 12 ounces.
  • Concierge Level or Suite offers many perks such as priority boarding, pool deck host, private lounge, reservation bookings, and skip the lines.
  • Buffet and pool area soda does not cost, however does during restaurant and room service. 
  • Don't forget your magnets for your stateroom door.
  • Contingent on availability you may book the Rainforest Room in Senses Spa per day without treatment services for a relaxing and quiet area.
  • Happy Hour offers nearly a 50% Discount. Monitor the app.
  • Officer Pin Trading Night is not publicized, but usually occurs once during the sailing.
  • Formal Nights tends to be more casual attire compared to other cruise lines.
  • Based on availability if possible upgrade your stateroom before embarkation while at port. 
  • On embarkation day, children dine at kid at the Club or the Lab area.
  • Features themed sailings for Marvel or Star Wars fans.
  • Maps on the carpet are directional guides; right-side up for forward and upside down for aft.
  • Two rooms tend to cost less than suites.
  • You may utilize the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for free with in-app texting feature with fellow passengers, without purchase of the wireless package.
  • Due to noise, avoid stateroom deck location with kid programs above or below.
  • Popular goods during Sea Days sell out.
  • Should the outdoor temperature drop below 75°F, the pools are heated.
  • Room service is complimentary, so use it.
  • Your dinner rotation, your dining staff moves with you.
  • Leftover local currency, present your receipt prior to the end of the cruise to convert your foreign currency back to your preferred denomination at the same rate. Applies to bills only.
  • Youths may play Bingo with an accompanying adult.
  • Roughly 60 Cast Members reside and work full-time on Castaway Cay (the private island) in the Bahamas.
  • WiFi tends to be costly.
  • On embarkation day, pack a light carry bag with swimsuits and essentials as stateroom access is not until the afternoon (usually noon and later) and luggage delivery usually after 6PM.
  • Due to popularity Meet & Greets should be booked before arrival.
  • During Dine & Play crew will not require youths to sit down and eat.
  • Alcohol and specialty beverages are a la carte. No drink packages compared to other cruise lines.
  • Adult only activities onboard usually includes cabaret, mixology and tastings.
  • Select restaurants are limited to adults only.
  • Cabanas (25) at Castaway Cay sell out quickly, book upon embarkation.
  • Don't forget to pack Disney costumes.
  • Grab your popcorn bag and soft drink (food court) before heading into the theatre.
  • Early dinner seating (between 5PM - 5:30PM) tends to be busier with younger children.
